There are many types of animals found in tropical rainforests including: frogs, toucans, sloths, armadillos, cobras, anacondas, cockatoos, hedgehogs, gorillas, jaguars and many more.
Animal Adaptations
Since there are so many species of animals, there are many different adaptations being made in the tropical rainforest. For example, frogs use tall trees and understory for shelter to hide from their predators. Toucans have long and large bills that allow them to reach fruits on branches that are too small to support their weight (also on other smaller trees). Sloths use camouflage to survive in rainforest. They have blue or green algae that grows on their fur, giving them a greenish color to make it difficult for their predators to spot them.
